SOLVED: cannot login to setup area after install (apologies)

Postby cpg » Tue Dec 14, 2010 2:25 am

Hello!

hda-platform-5.6.11 is out and about bouncing around the intertubes.

Well, there was a final bit (here's hoping!) of code that was accidentally committed from the translations tree used by the translation team.

This was not allowing logins into the the setup area.

We have now released hda-platform-5.6.11 to hopefully fix this accidental addition of code to the release.

Apologies for the confusion and frustration!

To accelerate picking this up do this as root:

Code: Select all

yum clean metadata yum -y update 'hda*'
(including the quotes)

We need helping hands, self starters that can help out in the community to give more time to the dev and tester teams!

Have done the above, but the latest it finds is hda-platform-5.6.9-1, which gave me Ruby errors yesterday, and which it can't install anyway as says need a different version of greyhole.... and if I try and install *that* gives me more errors. Gah!

Any way to actually make it find the latest version?

We just found out the amahi-greyhole dependency is not in the repo. A fix is in the works, so recommend you check in the morning.

Just another part of testing new versions.

Still only seeing hda-platform-5.6.9-1, still will not install. Is 5.6.11 in the F14 repo?

BTW, if you would prefer any problems with F14 installs to go somewhere specific - like the testers area - just say the word. I don't want to annoy you guys when I know the F14 release is still not production ready... my hope is that I'm helping you test rather than hindering!

Yes, testers area is probably the best place. As for the latest platform, I don't think everything is there yet for Fedora 14.

I cannot check until I get home.
