Hi,
I don't know if this is the right place, but I have some troubles with dns server in amahi. This morning I was unable to access amahi.org from my pc at home, but it works well at work. I've restarted the dns server only by the web page and right after amahi.org is accessible. After that, I type yahoo.com and is not accessible. I have enabled dns in my router and leave dns server in amahi on and no more problems. It seems amahi dns server is only for internal and router dns is for external??? Amahi dns isn't supposed to serve request for internal and external???

dns server problem
Re: dns server problem
I believe your problem is the battle between DNS servers. You can ONLY use one or there are issues resolving web sites. The Amahi DNS is sufficient for both internal and external. It is required for short URLs in regards to your apps.
If you have problems getting to the internet with the Amahi DNS server, then you have other issues. Recommend you make Amahi your only DNS server. Then check out the network troubleshooter. Is is located at http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Network_troubleshooting.
If you cannot access the site, there could be a firewall with your router blocking it. Have you added any additional software to the HDA since install?

ipconfig /all
Note the IP address(s) supplied for DNS. It SHOULD be only that of the Amahi server.
It it is some other address then either you have the DNS addresses hardwired in your network setup, or you have another DHCP server running and it is confusing your PC.
The Amahi DNS server is set up with forwarding references. You can change the default to, say our ISP's. See:
