Use Amahi Server as Wireless Bridge

Postby westcoastoffense » Wed Nov 24, 2010 11:44 pm

I have to move my router out of my room so I am trying to setup my amahi server as a wireless bridge. I have a wireless usb adapter that will connect to the router and a wired connection that will go to my wired computers.

Also of note, I plan on doing internet connection sharing between the two connections as well.

I need amahi to provide its services on both of these network connections. I have tried looking on the forums, but can only find examples where the amahi server is replacing a router. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is a little more complicated than Amahi is setup to handle by default.

I would suggest you look on Fedora forums to find out how to do the network bridging.

Once you get the network bridge working, it shouldn't be too difficult to then get Amahi serving DHCP and DNS for your network (I think. I'm not an expert on network bridging).

This is Linux; anything is possible! Let us know how it goes.

Well I have already figured out how to bridge the connections in fedora, so I can pass the internet through. I just need Amahi to provide the dhcp and dns services to both connections.
