Are you using NAT or Bridged for your network mode? I used Bridged and it works. If I use NAT, it will not.

NAT, as usual. It works with F14, why are there problems with F16?

Not sure if its the change in how devices are identified in Fedora 16 that causes problems or not. In Fedora 14, I had to follow the wiki (Altering the VM network config) to get network working using NAT.

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_on_VirtualBox

For Fedora 16, I just set adapter 1 to bridged and it all seems to work fine. I don't know if my case is specific to VirtualBox, but the wiki guidance would not work with Fedora 16 for me.

If you are using guidance from the wiki, be careful about copy and pasting. Sometimes there are special hidden characters pulled in.

I find it best to copy from the wiki into like NotePad ++ or a text editor so I can ensure if there are any present, I remove them before pasting in the terminal.

That is what most likely is the issue with the "rpm" command. Also, not sure if you saw the latest on F16 in the wiki but that is no longer needed. Recommend using the F16 repo on install now.

Hey bigfoot!

Thank you for your help! Another question:

As far as I know, you cannot change it. Doing so will break the network. Amahi F16 Alpha is designed to now pick the correct device, not just eth0. It should pick up p2p1.

Really? Also in case I remove the package "biosdevname"? However, I will keep the package and I will see I it works ;)
