Can not login to server using web interfece

Its been sometime since I've posted.

I am having trouble printing and scanning to a device that is on my network. My AMAHI serves does the DHCP serving and the printer and the computers have had static IP assigned on the AMAHI Server.

I am attempting to login to the server as I have done many times before to release the static IPs to try to solve the problem, but, now the server does not seem to recognize the user credentials ( user and PW) to login using the web interface.

What can I do to login and solve this?

Are you sure you have the right credentials?

This may also sound silly, but is the CAPS lock engaged.

We have had users who had this specific problem and did not check.

Thankd for the response.

The thing is I use "Last pass" ( a password vault), so passwords are not entered manually.

Thus it is not that is entered incorrectly. I attempted other user and could not log through HDA either. It seems odd.

Try clearing the browser cache.

Do you copy and paste the passwords? Maybe there is a hidden character causing the issue.

I have attempted to login from different machines on the same network to no avail.

Is there a way to recover the login? or to do it directly on the server machine?

Check out the reset User password guidance in the wiki.

Recommend you keep passwords simple and not lengthy. Likely that no one is going to hack into your HDA.

This is odd....


As I said before I can not login from another PC using the HDA web interphase....


However I can login SSH using putty with my usual administrator username and password, when I login SSH I receive a confirmation from my HDA with the date and last time I had logged in, which was on March 2016 using the Web interphase......

Is there something else I should try besides attempting to change the admin password as it works SSH with PUTTY?

If it's not, then start it.

If you follow the guidance I provided, it does not stipulate to log into the web interface. Reset it via the Linux command line.

Changing the admin password via the wiki guidance is the only proven solution. Was there a power outage or the server shutdown improperly? Did you do something that may have caused this issue? It just doesn't happen on it's own typically.

If you cannot change the password and login to the dashboard, the only simple answer may be reinstall.
