SOLVED: A few problems post installation

Hello,

I have just moved from amahi 6.3 Ubuntu version to the lastest version. I am experiencing a few difficulties.

The first is to do with the disk wizard. I used this to mount 4 HDD which contained greyhole data. I have checked and they are mounted in /var/hda/files/drives/driveX. I can see the gh folder and the files inside; however,

The drives are not showing up at the address: http://hda/tab/disks. but,
The partitions on the disk are visible at: http://hda/tab/disks/mounts

This has me confused somewhat, are the disks mounted correctly? my fstab if that helps:

The second concern is that in the greyhole UI at http://hda/tab/pooling each of my drives is showing up twice. This problem concerns me much more that the first as I'm a bit worried my data may go AWOL. None of it is important but it would be an inconvenience to have to replace it.

I had a similar experience and was able to resolve. Will be happy to assist, but want to ensure your issue is the same as mine before I offer a solution.

Have a few questions:

A. Did you mount drives before installing the Greyhole UI?

B. Did you verify all drives are mounted via command line?

This problem concerns me much more that the first as I'm a bit worried my data may go AWOL.

Data should be ok. To be safe, I would recommend you stop Greyhole via the Settings tab, Servers section and uncheck all boxes for watchdog and start on boot. Best to do this until it's resolved that way nothing goes awry.

The Greyhole problem seems to have resolved itself. I think it may have been confused while it sorted out all my files. After it had finished I'm showing only one copy on the dashboard.

I think I added the drives then installed the UI. Since then though I have pulled the drives, deleted fstab and started again in an attempt to solve the not displaying disks error.

So what is left for the issue, the disk display?

we that has resolved itself as well actually. I've had a few reboots trying to fix other stuff so perhaps thats done it.

Happy to hear it's good now. Wonder what caused the issue. Oh well, guess we will never know

I have no idea. I'm have ordered a new HDD and intend to install from scratch again but without adding full data drives. I'll try and pay closer attention next time.
