upgrade from 7 to 8
upgrade from 7 to 8
So I have about 6 TB of data on my HDA right now (with 8TB of disk), and you are recommending that we back up everything before we do an upgrade? What's the point? My hw doesn't have any bays left for additional drives, and going out to buy another 8 TB of drives just to perform a software upgrade seems like a pretty ludicrous thing to do. So what does v8.0 really buy us?
Re: upgrade from 7 to 8
Back up your data means data that is on the OS drive. If you have most of your data on other drives, just disconnect them. Don't read into things too much
As for what Amahi 8 provides, recommend you check out the blog post that was released recently.
BTW, we will only be support Amahi 8 going forward, so no app updates or new apps, upgrades to platform, or changes will be completed for Amahi 6 & 7. That is reason enough to upgrade for most along with Amai 6 & 7 OS being end-of-life.
