Try:

Code: Select all

yum clean all yum install nano
again.

The error message may be due to the check for automatic updates. It sometimes takes a while.

If you still have a problem, there is a way to kill the process. We can address that later if needed.

I tried the clean all and then yum install again and I get the time outs again. Do I need to reinstall everything?

Not just yet.

Recommend you consult the network troubleshooting wiki guidance.

It may be that you do not have connectivity.

Did you follow the install instructions at http://docs.amahi.org? Is this the Express CD install?

Honestly I don't know what version I just burned the ISO that showed up after registering to a DVDs. One unusual thing is my login was is unknown5366778199 instead of localhost or ip.

When I tried to format my extra discs I coudnt format 2 of them and when I tried to mount hard disk it said 2 of them were already mounted and only had 4 of them with the unid that I needed to nano.

I do have an Intel nic and an onboard nic. It's connected to the Intel.

Amahi installation instructions state that only one NIC is supported. You must have the other disabled prior to install.

Did you do so? If not then that could be your issue. A reinstall might be required.

My bios automatically disables the one that's not in use. You think there are a couple errors? Especially what I listed?

Yes you have to follow the instructions on the site I mentioned earlier. Only the OS disk should've been connected. You connect the other drives after Amahi is installed.

If you skip steps or don't follow the guidance you will have problems as you have discovered.

Recommend you start over. The Express CD works well for most.
