SOLVED: Invalid install code

Postby ribroast » Fri Aug 16, 2013 10:52 am

I am attempting to install Amahi 7 from the express CD. This is my third HDA, going back about two years now, and all on the same machine. I get to the point where I enter my install code and it is invalid every time. I got a new one, and it is invalid as well. My network card does not show up as eth0. I have seen that this could be an issue in these forums. I don't know how to fix it though. I searched the forum for an answer to this problem, but did not get results that matched my problem. My best HDA was the first, Fedora 14, the Ubuntu one I am replacing now was buggy all along, but functional for my basic needs. I may install the un supported Fedora 14 again for now, I'm at a point where nothing is working. Someday I'll get a new box for Amahi.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

It just worked! Maybe the (Amahi) server was down today, been working on this thing for about 12 hrs now, but
fedora 14 could not connect to the repository either. So I tried the Amahi 7 express disk again. It gave me the invalid install code one more time. After awile I put the code in one more time, and to my amazement, it accepted it! Waiting for second re boot now, not out of the woods yet. This problem is solved though.

Glad to hear. If the network card is not identified as eth0, Amahi will not work. As you said this is solved, I presumed it is read correctly now.

I am having this same error. My NIC is not identified as eth) but it is identified as enp2s0. What can I do to resolve?

There is guidance where a similar issue was resolved.
