RESOLVED:Problem w/setup->Storage page after hard drive Fail

After one of my drive apparently failed on my Amahi install from my gh share it seems that I can't view the "Storage" page for Amahi settings, after I removed the drive from the pool.

Something I forgot to mention before is that this drive (along with 3 others) is on a SATA pci controller although the other 3 are working fine and have done in the past. I think its worth asking, is it possible that that is the component that is on its way out, as opposed to the drive itself?

How did you remove this drive from the storage pool? Have you removed the drive from /etc/fstab and rebooted?

It has been removed from fstab (and restarted) and I removed it from greyhole through the web-interface. It was just after I removed it where I started to get this error.
In hindsight I probably should have mentioned that.

Good to know. Not sure if I missed it, but is this Ubuntu or Fedora 14? I would recommend stopping Greyhole, then let it restart on it's own and see if that helps. Might try restarting hdactl as well.

fedora 14, and I stopped greyhole and let it restart on its own and the problem still persists.

Not sure what could be the cause. Have you updated Fedora 14 with all the OS patches? This seems like a hard one to track down.

I had updated to all the patches but I feel that is moot now.
After leaving the server on all night, I rebooted it about 10 minutes ago. It seems to be fine now. What I can't understand is why the reboot yesterday didn't do anything to fix it yet the one today did.
I am a little perplexed but I guess I can't complain about the fact that it is working now.

I am always perplexed how reboot and time seems to cure many problems. I hope it keeps working for you.

I thought I should follow up on this post. It seems that the issue was in fact the raid controller. I finally got around to replacing it and I had kept the hard drives to do testing on before I played with them (I like taking things apart -- although I lost the opportunity to do that this time around). The Hard drive on the controller works perfectly after a secure wipe of the content (Over the top, but just to be sure).
It worked fine on my desktop so I decided to put them in my server again and lo-and-behold... no cigar. Hence the replaced controller card; seems everything is just dandy now.
Either way I though I should mention it just so it is known, instead of having searchable posts of only half the information.
