Hi, I am having problems setting a password for my account. A password that has a number in the middle is accepted and "saved" but when I try to log on I cannot. A password with a number at the end, however, seems to work.
Is there a password complexity rule for Amahi HDA and if so why does it say saved when it is not?
thanks
Darren
Amahi Password Rules
Re: Amahi Password Rules
There has been some problems with passwords in the past, but it was mostly due to spaces. As far as I know, you should be able to use special characters, numbers, and upper/lower case letters.
I have read somewhere that the length is an issue though. I believe they cannot be longer than 10 characters. Not sure if that is still a problem, but keep in mind these limitations are set by Fedora/Samba within the Amahi platform.
For now, until we can track down the limitations and document them, recommend you use what ever works. Hopefully when the next Amahi release comes out, this is not an issue.
