Is anyone using Amahi for storing scanned PDFs? I have Acrobat, which does pretty good at OCR. I want to be able to do full text search on PDFs so I can just get my boxes of paperwork scanned and gone.
Besides a full on Document Management System (is there one that works on Amahi?) or something like Google Desktop installed on Amahi, is there any other suggestions?
I'd like to be able to keep the files on my Greyhole storage pool (for redundancy) and backup with Crashplan.
Paperless office - PDFs and Amahi
Re: Paperless office - PDFs and Amahi
There is nothing currently that I am aware. If you can find something that can be utilized as a web app, please suggest it on the web site. There is a link for application suggestions.

I'm trying OpenKM on my test box.installed easy enough (uses own webserver though). Paperless isn't as easy as it sounds! I don't want to end up with a folder full of pdfs I have no way of searching.

Interesting. Does it use Tomcat? That is ok if so as we do have other apps that use their own web server. If you get it to work and can document the steps, we can create an Amahi one-click app.
Of course if you are up to it, you could create the app yourself
