mythTV: Install as stand alone or as Amahi Ap..

I will be installing mythTV backend on my HDA in the next month or so. I understand that mythTV is in beta right now. I am fairly technical, but not enough to help with packaging. Could I please get a recommendation as to whether I am better to install the beta/Amahi version or just install it outside Amahi?

I am unsure if the Amahi app is working or not. There is some guidance in the wiki that might be helpful.

Maybe you could try a manual install and capture all the details. We could then use that to update the wiki and/or the Amahi app. I am not aware of who has tried/using the Amahi app so cannot speculate on its success/failure.
