I have a windows7 machine at work. I setup Amahi with HDA connect and it works great!
I can see home.hda.com and I stream my music from amapche. I even have the openvpn.conf setup so I can browse blocked sites at work through my vpn!
But I can't mapp drives or move files through the windows explorer windows. I simply want to map a drive so I can backup my work files or snag aa video for boring days....
It was working with v5 but I uograded to v6 and i can't figure it out.
Did I mentinon I can see all my shares. I can see files at "\\hda" but if click on "\\hda\music" it opens a login popup. The login popup says DISTRICT\username (the domain is DISTRICT) instead of just my user name. I figure this is the problem but when I enter the credtials through the crednetials manger it still doesn't work.
The error window states \\hda\music is not accessible...
Any ideas?
Shares over the VPN?
Re: Shares over the VPN?
We have seen this behavior with some Win 7 machines. When the pop up comes up, replace user name with your HDA user name. Leave the DISTRICT\ there as well.
