Unable to add files to Music share only

new Amahi installer, I cannot seem to add files to Music share. i get error saying I cannot read file. I can add fles to any other folder, including the ones I created with no problem. I made sure i have full access, writable is checked. could it be the Amamhitunes causing it?

if I delete the music share and re create the share, will Amahitunes still view its contents or will it break the connection?

Sounds like this could be a permission issue. Check the permissions/owner of the folder compared to the others and see if they match.

the permissions are the same as video, books and even the one I created. I can move files to any and all shares except the music, i keep getting the box asking to log in, and whatever log in i use I get the message saying I do not have rights to read the files.

I may just reinstall the whole thing, but before I do, do you know if I could delete the music share, then re add? would the amahitunes know to look there or would it break the connection for streaming?

Yes you can delete the share. Keep in mind it does not delete the directory on the drive, only the pointer to it.

I deleted the share, went and added another one named Music, was able to add files, but AmahiTunes did not see them, only saw the default file that was in there originally. i uninstalled Amahitunes, then re installed, still did not see my music.

i guess i will just re install.

I don't think reinstall is the answer. Did you check the wiki for info about AmhiTunes?

I am having the same issue. When transferring files from the finder (mac) to the music share an error pops up saying one or more items can't be copied to "music" because you don't have permission to read them. As with the previous post the permissions are the same across all shares. Any ideas?
