SOLVED: Errors with todays (12/13) update?

Postby radioz » Mon Dec 13, 2010 7:11 pm

Has anyone else experienced errors with todays update?

Code: Select all

starting hda update - sleeping 70 seconds hda update attempt #3 @ Mon Dec 13 18:05:54 PST 2010 Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, presto, refresh-packagekit Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * fedora: chi-10g-1-mirror.fastsoft.net * updates: chi-10g-1-mirror.fastsoft.net Setting up Install Process Package hdactl-3.6-1.i386 already installed and latest version Package hda-suite-0.15-1.noarch already installed and latest version Package hdapsd-20090401-5.fc12.1.i686 already installed and latest version Package hda-release-1.0-1.noarch already installed and latest version Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package hda-greyhole.i386 0:0.7.5-1 set to be updated ---> Package hda-platform.noarch 0:5.6.6-1 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: mod_passenger for package: hda-platform-5.6.6-1.noarch --> Processing Dependency: rubygem-passenger-native for package: hda-platform-5.6.6-1.noarch --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: hda-platform-5.6.6-1.noarch (amahi) Requires: rubygem-passenger-native Error: Package: hda-platform-5.6.6-1.noarch (amahi) Requires: mod_passenger
I'm wondering if I have a problem with my installation, or if this is a problem that everyone is seeing.

If others have seen it, do you have a work-around?

Thanks

Ok, I just saw that it might be a bad update http://twitter.com/amahi/status/14538565467770880

Apparently the fixed update hasn't reach me yet.

I'll check back later.

you can do it yourself with:

Code: Select all

yum clean metadata yum update 'hda*'

Newbie here installing Fedora 12 as we speak.

Error message:

"The file had-platform-5.6.6-1.noarch.rpm cannot be opened. This is due to a missing file, a corrupt package of corrupt media. Please verify your installation source.

If you exit, your system will be left in an inconsistent state that will likely require reinstallation."

I have the option of "Retry" or "Reboot".

Sounds like the same issue.

How should I proceed and recover?

Thanks in advance!

yes, 5.6.6 was removed from the repos. this must be at install time?
of so, reboot and start the installation.

if not, where is it?

Yes, during install time. Kinda hoping I wouldn't have to restart from beginning. Any way around it?

Thanks.
