Postby lou1z » Fri Nov 05, 2010 12:28 pm

is there any sort of client that has a web based gui that can download backups or files from a remote server on a scheduled basis?

I am not aware of one. We do have a web based ftp client, but its pretty basic. No scheduling that I am aware.

You could use a fedora based desktop client and schedule it to do so. Just a thought.

I have looked for rsync web gui and there are virtually impossible to find. The one I did find is quite old and could not get it working with Amahi. I think its called backupmon.

You might take a look at it and maybe you can get it working. There are some things that are hard find web-based. There are lots of desktop apps that do so in linux. For windows, I use a program called Karen's Replicator. It works nicely and can be scheduled to run.
