Web front-end for clonezilla

Postby chaosdesign » Thu Sep 09, 2010 2:06 am

Hi guys

I am attempting to try a front-end to add images to the TFTP boot menu by use of OCK (OneClickKick).

The issue that i am having is that i can't install the Pecl Nis/Yp package for use in OCK.
The download from OCK does contain the Pecl Nis/Yp but i don't know how to install it

OCK can be found here http://sourceforge.net/projects/oneclickkick/

I have tried one method in installing it from here http://www.art122-5.net/index.php/How_t ... _PECL_HTTP

but with no luck

this is a part of the readme file on how to install

Code: Select all

Install the PECL NIS/YP client. This client is also included under the pecl_yp directory. See PECL Documentation for installation howto
any help would be great

Hello,

This is a web front-end for Clonezilla? It looks like its function is to add netboot apps to a server. Am I missing something?

Not sure if you are aware, but we have Clonezilla in beta at the moment along with 4 other apps (GParted, Parted Magic, Redo Backup, DSL) for netboot as well. All are currently one-click apps with no additional user setup required. :D

One thing that we must be careful with is the netboot for Amahi is customized. It may not be 100% compatible with this application. I noticed this app messes with alot of settings, sudoers file, httpd.conf, ownership of files to a user called lanstation, etc. This could be a major problem with the current infrastructure and may break Amahi.

I will be glad to work with you on this one to see if we can integrate it as an app. Having the ability to add netboot apps using a web gui and images would be nice for users.

Have you looked at Cobbler for Fedora (https://fedorahosted.org/cobbler/). It has some of the same features. I have messed with it a bit and may to package it soon.
