Squeezserver not finding files

Posted this in another thread as well, but did not get any reply.

I installed Squeezeserver and copied flac files from a USB disk to var/hda/files/music and pointed SS to this folder, but it can't see the files. I can play the files on my laptop with rythmbox pointed to the same folder?

Anyone got any input? I am close to deleting Amahi as this was the main reason for setting up the server.
I even did a complete reinstall of F12/Amahi to se if that would help

Sorry for the delay. We are a very small team and extremely busy. Sometimes we don't get to the posts as quickly as we would like.

This could be a permissions issue with the files you copied to the directory. Can you see the files using terminal or a file browser? Please check the permissions on them, i.e. who owns them and are they set for read/write? If you need assistance to do this, please let us know.

Also, the IRC channel is another avenue to help resolve issues. There are many of us there all the time that can provide real time support. I will take a look at the application and see if there is anything else I can find out.
