I asked on the Fedora list and got a confirmation that end of life for FC12 is 12-2-10.
Kudos to all of you working on the FC14 port, put I hope that the Amahi FC12 -> FC14 upgrade will work OK sooner rather than later. It would be a bear to rebuild my Amahi server that I just launched last week...
I have some decisions to make over the next couple days on the order of doing things, but I suppose I will be in position to work on either a fresh FC14 install or a FC12 -> FC14 upgrade shortly as I have to replace my dedicated email server sooner rather than later...
FC12 end of life
Re: FC12 end of life
the server will continue working past 12/2/10.
you know that, right?
we still several dozen users running on fedora 9!
and one of the first HDAs ever was still running on fedora 7 until last week!

Yes. I even checked the Amahi install instructions that the URL to the FC12 isos will be one that will work going forward, and it is.the server will continue working past 12/2/10.
you know that, right?
But no more security patches.
And my mail server is still on FC10 with Bigfoot65's (with my help) email setup. So I was hoping that next week when I am home again, I would be working on upgrading it to FC12. But now I am thinking that perhaps I should hold out for a couple weeks and MAYBE FC14 will be here for Amahi...we still several dozen users running on fedora 9!

Oh course a bigger issue is upgrading my DNS server from Centos 5.3 (and BIND 9.3.4-10). Should I just go to Centos 5.5 and BIND 9.3.6 and still not get DNSSEC? (I can do this in a day now, as I have practised this on another system.) Should I patch BIND on 5.5 with the beta 5.6 BIND 9.7 and keep patching until Centos 5.6 comes out? Should I move to FC14 for BIND 9.7 and by EoL for FC14, I can then fall back to Centos 5.6?
Oh, decisions, decisions.... I asked my buddy Rob Austein what he recommends...
Re: FC12 end of life
BTW the mail server has been updated to F12 and will be updated to F14 when we get there
