amahi 11 install

Postby Nabbys » Fri Sep 27, 2019 6:30 pm

I tired with fedora 30 as it is the latest and changed the sources on the screen. So I was not surprised when it seemed to not work. Then I noticed it did install. at he point where the installation instructions say "Once installation is complete, the machine will automatically reboot. You will next see see a black screen with no graphics displaying the Amahi 11 installation progress. When it's finished, the machine will again reboot automatically. " it reboots to the instal disc. Should I have removed it? or what exactly should I look for at that point?

If you installed Fedora 30, you did not follow the instructions. Fedora 30 is not supported.

See Amahi Docs

Latest Amahi version is 11 with Fedora 27.

BTW, Minimal Install CD works best. Please follow the instructions!

I did follow all the instructions, but could not find a fedora 27 download. Have since found one, but it does say no longer supported. My question of wether to remove the install disk remains unanswered. If you make yourself clear you get positive responses! Usually it is necessary to remove the install media after an install, but it not mentioned so I asked. I will redo it all with Fed27 and let you know.

Ok. Typically Fedora tells you to remove the disc. But if it did not, then yes it must be removed.

The install instructions provide a link to the media download. If it’s broken, please let me know so it can be fixed.

Yes it’s no longer supported by Fedora but is the latest for Amahi.

Hope that helps!
