Can access dashboard after install

Postby arcfob » Sun Feb 24, 2019 2:43 pm

Can't access dashboard after fresh install of Amahi 11. Receive error "The Dashboard has encountered an exception!". I can access SMB shares of the server.

Is this Express DVD or minimal install CD?

Please provide URL for:

Code: Select all

apaste —sysinfo
Also, have you done anything to the HDA since install.

Might try:

Code: Select all

sudo dnf update
and install updates to OS.

I believe it was the express DVD. I just had to set the install code and select the keyboard layout and everything else was automagic.

Output from apaste --

No, the only thing that has been done since install is that updates have been ran.

Sorry, but you may want to reinstall using the minimal CD method.

We are starting to see issues with Express DVD by some users. We may have to rescind use of it due to issues such as these.

No go. Reinstalled with minimal CD and I'm stuck at the same spot. I can ssh into the device, I can see the default SMB shares, everything seems to be mostly functioning. But the dashboard still appears broken :(

Did you follow the install instructions precisely?

What are you using for media?

Might want to try DVD then. Could be your machine needs drivers not covered by the other install methods.

Yes, I believe so. I can run through again just to make sure, but it was pretty straight forward. It was just a matter of partitioning the drive correctly and setting up the first user account making sure it was an admin. Besides that it was just a couple of commands to type after server install to get Amahi configured and running after Fedora was running.

I burned the Fedora .ISO to a CD and installed from that. Is there another Fedora installer I should try?

Thanks.

Ok sounds pretty standard install then.

Suggest you try the DVD then. No other option I see at this time.
