Standard Partition Not Working

Postby Ipadmasterman » Mon Jul 10, 2017 4:11 pm

Hello,
When I select standard partition from the list and then press done, /home is there. Why is this? And what can I do to fix it?

Start over.

Follow the install instructions precisely.

You don't click done after selecting standard partition.

I have had the same issue. I have followed the instructions step by step, and after I select Standard Partition and "click to create them automatically." The system creates
DATA with a /home (sda5) partition of 1.77 TB fs=xfs
SYSTEM with /boot (sda1) 1024 MB fs=ext4; / (sda3) 50GB fs=xfs; swap (sda2) 3.74 GB fs=swap

After I loaded everything and had amahi 10 up running I have issues with adding drives. I also receive a "kvm disabled by bios" message on my server that I never received before. This server used to have my Fedora19 Amahi 7 running my main uses were Greyhole and Plex.

Should I manually create the mount points?
If so, what are the File Systems and sizes?

I went ahead and deleted the /home partition and added the disk space to /. I completed the install for Fedora 25 and Amahi 10. added the Disk Wizard and noticed that when I added the first disk, after I finalized the settings, my console displayed
[713.405532] kvm: disabled by bios
[714.069804] kvm: disabled by bios
[714.092618] kvm: disabled by bios
[1022.397528 kvm: disabled by bios
[1022.417809] kvm: disabled by bios...

and continues to display every so often with different numbers.

I'll note that the drive did show up in my control panel.

Please submit a bug report.

Ensure you include the URL for the command below in the report:

Code: Select all

apaste --sysinfo
You also might try enabling it in your BIOS.

I will submit a bug report and my link asap.

I found Secure Virtual Machine Mode (SVM) in the BIOS and Enabled it.
I no longer see the
kvm disabled by bios
but I am seeing
CIFS VFS: ioctl error in smb2_get_dfw_refer rc=-2
show up 9 times same as the number of Shares.

Thanks for the info. Did not see anything that helped me determine your issue yet.

Have you done OS updates?

Code: Select all

sudo dnf update
