Yeah tried the update fix, made no difference.

Sorry but I am out of ideas.
Maybe consider DVD install. Might be a driver issue causing all the issues.

DVD makes no difference still cannot access the console from anywhere even with the IP address the setup gives it, and what its allocated under in the router(it also says not connected even after several reboots of server and router).
Gonna throw in the towel, picked Amahi because it was supposed to be the easiest of the 3 NAS systems recommended.
Have spent all weekend trying just to install it. Will try freeNAS or NAS4free see if i have any joy wth those.
Thanks for all your help but it seems this is not going to work for me. If i get bored with a week to spare may give it another try.
