Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
I have reset the router have a direct cable from the router to server disconnected all devices restarted the router re-installed amahi and still it configures the ip address at 192.168.1.100. and i followed every detail of the installation to the letter. I still cannot log into it from anywhere.
i think its time to call it a day.

Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
Were you able to login command line?
Did you install #Amahi?
If so, you could send me the Iink for the command I mentioned in my earlier post. Would help with diagnosis of your issue.

Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
Ok that helps.
Did you use CD or DVD install media?
You might try this followed by a reboot:
Not sure why it would not transition to .10 if that's the IP address you set on amahi.org. Is there something in your network causing it to be assigned .68? That's not a typical DHCP assigned address.

You might try this followed by a reboot:
Code: Select all
sudo dnf update

Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
Hi, Used CD for install.
Will try the update and let you know the outcome,
and the install was done with a factory defaulted router and nothing connected to it, Just checked the router settings and the default range for DHCP is set from 64 to 253?
I can set the ip to 10 manually but it seems to make no diffference.
results from update..............
[shicks@Unknown-00-25-22-e9-8d-ea-2 ~]$ sudo dnf update
[sudo] password for shicks:
Error: Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'updates'

Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
I can see from the URL you provided earlier that you did not follow the instructions precisely. The output should state Fedora 25, not Fedora 25 Server edition.Hi, Used CD for install.
That is likely the cause of your issues. It would be best if you started over and selected the correct one, Minimal Install.
See failed to sychronize repo guidance in the wiki for a solution.
This may not resolve your problems. As mentioned, it would be best to start over and follow the instructions precisely.

Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
Hi,
as with previous minimal installs, i cannot log into the console as the ip address is either not there or it shows in the router as not connected, Have tried it another 3 times.
The only time i can actually see the ip address is when i use the other standard installation! deviation or not its the only way i can actually get to the console.????

Re: cannot get past Fedora reboot login page
Understand but did not mention that previously.
We only test and ensure things work with minimal install. The full server edition installs extra packages that may conflict with #Amahi.
However some have been successful. Did you try the fix for updates?
Hopefully at some point we can sort this out, but not sure what else to suggest.
