Headphones App Update

Postby zac851 » Wed May 06, 2015 5:31 am

I installed Deadphones through the Amahi store but I didn't realize that it was an older version (v0.1.2). Any known issues if I uninstall and manually install the newest version of 0.5.5? I'm running a Fedora/Amahi install. Also any plans to update the version from within the store? Just thought I'd ask

Nevermind on the original question I just decided to go ahead and uninstall the old version and manually install the newest version and everything installed without issue.

That said, I've got another question. Can I add this Service in Amahi under "Settings>Server" to see it's state and start/stop/restart it like my others?

The Amahi Headphonesapp should have added a server in that area.

If you do a manual install, there is no supported method for adding apps to the Servers tab. It's done automatically by the app installer.

Yea, Headphones app did originally add the "service" start/restart but I uninstalled the one from the Amahi store and then manually installed the newest version. I just thought their might be a quick way to add other services. No bid deal though.
Thanksl

Why would you uninstall the Amahi Headphones app? It provides for automatic update and should be the same as installing the manual version.
