Procedure to get VNC running with 1 click install on amahi 7

Postby cybert79 » Wed Mar 19, 2014 6:26 am

Hi all,

I was unable to get the VNC one click install running without some manipulation.

It is not much but the thing I done extra is:

Create /etc/gdm/custom.conf file and add the following:
#GDM configuration storage
[xdmcp]
Enable=true
[chooser]
[security]
DisallowTCP=false
[debug]

When this is done it works fine on port 5904 (even with the build-in osx vnc viewer :) )

Thanks for the insight. Would you please file a bug report and include this in your solution.

Also, not sure if you are aware, but this app is not LIVE for Amahi 7. We are still testing it.

I have installed it numerous times on 32- and 64-bit with no issues. I will have to see if this file already existed. Not sure why you would need to create it.

Just checked and the file was automatically created. There may be something going on with your install. The app works as designed on my test machine.
