DLNA App broken - Amahi 7

Postby doaserver » Fri Dec 13, 2013 6:10 am

I have installed Amahi 7 with the Express CD (Fedora 19)
Default settings, nothing changend by my own.

Everything is running except the DLNA Service. I cannot start the Server via Server Tab in the webinterface.
Here is the errorlog:

Code: Select all

[Fri Dec 13 13:41:00.371610 2013] [proxy:error] [pid 1451] (111)Connection refused: AH00957: HTTP: attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:8200 (localhost) failed [Fri Dec 13 13:41:00.371755 2013] [proxy:error] [pid 1451] AH00959: ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (localhost) for 60s [Fri Dec 13 13:41:00.371789 2013] [proxy_http:error] [pid 1451] [client 192.168.1.42:49595] AH01114: HTTP: failed to make connection to backend: localhost, referer: http://hda/tab/apps [Fri Dec 13 13:41:00.628831 2013] [proxy:error] [pid 1452] (111)Connection refused: AH00957: HTTP: attempt to connect to 127.0.0.1:8200 (localhost) failed [Fri Dec 13 13:41:00.628955 2013] [proxy:error] [pid 1452] AH00959: ap_proxy_connect_backend disabling worker for (localhost) for 60s [Fri Dec 13 13:41:00.628986 2013] [proxy_http:error] [pid 1452] [client 192.168.1.42:49597] AH01114: HTTP: failed to make connection to backend: localhost
I don't know why the connection is refused. Is this a possible effect from the update you have releases recently. Multiple reinstallation of the DLNA Service were useless.

By the way: I recognized a strange behavior from the server. My DLNA Client recognized a "plex media server" but i have not installed it. Also the dhcp server is missing (I reinstalled the system therefore twice).

Hoping of a quick reply,

Are you using the HDA as DHCP/DNS server for your clients? That could be the issue if not. I reinstalled last night and mine is working fine.

You could try changing localhost to hda in /etc/httpd/conf.d/####-minidlna.conf file near the top. Then restart httpd service. Also ensure you clear your browser cache.

Another option would be to disable the web interface. It only shows a count by shares of what is being served by the app. To disable, edit /etc/minidlna/minidlna.conf and comment out the appropriate line.

In future, please submit a bug in the issue tracker vs posting here. We use that to track and prioritize our workload.

Sorry I was not sure if it is a Bug or only my fault.

Your proposals have not solve my problem.
I created a ticket for the Bug

Great! I replied to the bug with more guidance. Is there anything you have done manually to customize your HDA? If not, then we can rule that out now.

I had this same behavior where DLNA would not start after install. I followed the instructions in the bug linked in this thread to prevent PlexMediaServer from installing. After reinstall, DLNA is working for me as well. Thanks!
