How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Re: How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Do you mean the Pictures share? That would be most likely what Gallery3 is using.

I created a folder of its own //hda/Gallery3. So should I remove this from the greyhole.conf?

Probably would be best.

Re: How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
I'm trying to follow along the wiki page for Gallery3 (https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Gallery3) the instructions for Ubuntu, but I'm struggling with the following:
Step 3. Should I edit the line to look like (the last part was /bin/false previously):
apache33:/home/apache:/bin/bash
Step 7. su apache, what is the password?? Or did I not edit /etc/passwd correctly?
Step 8. When I try to link the directory, it makes a link, but places it in /html/var/var ?? (I run the command from inside the /var/hda/web-apps/gallery3/html folder) Not sure if this is because I'm not logged in as apache though.
Any hints?

NUmber 3 you are correct. Is this Ubuntu that you are using? If so, the su apache should work without a password in #7. As fro #8, not sure but as long as you followed the guidance it should work.
Sorry but this guidance was provided by a user, so I have not context of what it's supposed to achieve or if it even works.

@reubenbrown: what are you trying to achieve? Maybe we can work on this together? I for my part moved the /var folder to a share but greyhole seems to be creating issues with permissions.

Re: How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Hey thanks for the responses.
Basically I am trying to setup Amahi as the replacement for my Diskstation.
On the Diskstation there was a photo app (Photo Station), that basically scanned any pictures in your Pictures share and then displayed them on a webpage.
I'm trying to replicate this functionality in Amahi Ubuntu (12.04). I have a Greyhole share Pictures (provided by default) which has all my albums and yeh I wanted to move the Gallery3 var folder to this share as described in that wiki I linked to. Then I was just going to dump my Pictures into that /var/albums folder and go from there....
Is there a better way to achieve what I want? I really don't want to have to have 2 copies of each Picture, ie one in Pictures/picture1.jpg and one in Gallery3's var album folder. Because if I perform any editing on the one in the share I have to reupload etc.
If there's any other app that would provide this functionality I would definitely give it a shot! The simpler/less configuration the better!
Hopefully that makes some sort of sense.
