I have attempted to install Amahi three times with the same result; installation seems to go smoothly, HDA comes up (router has DHCP off, DNS points to my Amahi server), and it seems to be functioning well - I am able to upload documents to the file shares.
But the built-in apps are not showing up; based upon what I see in the gallery on the Amahi site, the Dashboard has no apps showing up after the install - only what I add myself. The build in wiki is not working; typing wiki into a browser address bar gets "internal server error'. The top menu bar on Amahi contains "Home", the HDA and Web buttons, Setup, Help and Apps - no "Wiki" or "Calendar". I can publish a calendar to the HDA using Sunbird but cannot see any listing on http://hda/calendar - when I click the link "View all calendars simultaneously" I get a broken link, and typing webcal gets me an OpenDNS message about not finding that web site.
Any suggestions as to how I can get these apps and functionality? I really like the web calendar (based on what I've seen) and it would be a useful way to share the household calendar(s).
Installation problem: built-in apps missing?
Re: Installation problem: built-in apps missing?
One additional fact - when I install apps, and click on the link - for instance //hda/slideshow - it just takes me back to the setup page.
Re: Installation problem: built-in apps missing?
The apps are not at hda/app, there at either http://app or http://app.
\\hda\name is for SHARES ONLY, and you would do that to navigate to your shares, not from your browser.

Re: Installation problem: built-in apps missing?
there is some misconfiguration somewhere, ... http://slideshow should take you to: http://hda/hda_app_slideshowOne additional fact - when I install apps, and click on the link - for instance //hda/slideshow - it just takes me back to the setup page.
(the reason is that slideshow is a native amahi app)

Re: Installation problem: built-in apps missing?
I think I misspoke, or miswrote. http://slideshow does work. Nothing else does. And, yes, I really meant http://app and http://slideshow, respectively, I messed up writing it up ... Anyway, the problem is still that the other native or built-in apps are not accessible, as you mention in the last message there is misconfiguration. Is there a script or installer to re-install the build-in's?
Re: Installation problem: built-in apps missing?

Everything just takes me back to the Setup screen on the Dashboard.

Similar problems.
Installed hda-platform-4.0-1.noarch
1. declared automatically installed wiki not working http://wiki gets "internal server error'. Directory /var/hda/wiki/html does NOT exist.
-- not a big problem: mwiki can be installed without problems via HDA apps to /var/hda/web-apps/mwiki/html and run at http://mwiki
2. declared automatically installed calendar not working http://calendar gets to "Fedora Test Page". Address http://hda/calendar gets to right page but links are not working for me.

Re: Installation problem: built-in apps missing?
I'm having this problem, too.
I have installed several apps prior to this issue starting and links to those apps are working as they should. Today, when tried to install a couple different apps their links just bring you to the setup/user's menu. It didn't matter what app I tried to install and I didn't want to uninstall any of the apps that were already installed.
Strange how it just started today. This is what I have done with the amahi server today:
1. I was doing today was playing around with the permissions for the tflux app. The only thing that I did with tflux was change the permissions of the /var/hda/web-apps/tflux/html/downloads with chmod -R 777 (because all new files were set with read only permissions). After that I changed the save-to directory of tflux to a different directory (which seemed to solve the problem of the torrentflux permissions).
2. After solving the torrentflux issue, I thought it would be good to have phpmyadmin installed to be able to easily backup my databases. The install seemed to work but when I clicked on the link the browser took me to the setup/user page.
As with the other poster, my Amahi box is set up to host the DHCP server and the DHCP on the router is turned off. This happens from both the session running on the Amahi box and the session running on a client machine.
Anyone have any ideas.
