I just installed Gallery3 and have been unable to configure it to access my 'pictures' share on my Amahi HDA. The 'pictures' share is where all my pictures are stored and I can't see any reason to duplicate them in another location just so that Gallery can access them. All I could figure out is how to get Gallery to add them one folder's worth at a time via the file browser from a client PC. I couldn't add an entire directory which is what I need to do in order to import my massive multi-directory collection of photos.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Re: How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Wait... I might've found it! I'll post results when I know if this worked or not.

Did you have any luck getting this figured out? I just installed Gallery3 and realized I really don't want to have to duplicate all of my photos, nor take the time to "upload" them all again through the website. Thanks!

Has anyone checked the Gallery 3 website? There usually have guidance for situations like this. Also might find some more info in the Amahi wiki.

I also got the same issues...running out of space on my root drive since Gallery copied 140GB of pics there from my greyhole storage pool. And that is only a quarter of my pics...
Re: How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Does Gallery 3 not allow use of the share? What about use mount_shares_locally if you are using Greyhole, does that help?

Any new informations about this problem?
Re: How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
Have heard nothing back about how Greyhole plays with it. Are there new developments?

OK, I think one of the next days or the weekend will be when I give it a try.
Should I follow this wiki?

What I want is that Gallery looks up the pictures in the greyhole shares and does not move them to the root drive.
