Any way to give a specific client a static ip?
Any way to give a specific client a static ip?
I'd like to be able to print to it's printer. Can this be done? Could I associate that client with a specific username so that the VPN always assigns that user the same ip?

Locally that is done via the dashboard on on the client. However, not sure if you can set the VPN IP Address or not. Probably something you will need to research on the internet.

I tried to do the same thing couple of months ago but didn't find a solution. If you do please let us know!
I did a bit of research but it didn't help... Maybe I didn't search the right places...

Re: Any way to give a specific client a static ip?
The only thing I can think of at the moment is changing the VPN DHCP range it allows to a single IP address. That means only one machine can VPN at once and the IP will always be the same.
Not sure if it will work, but worth a shot. Is there a reason why you cannot print to a printer without having a static IP? Doesn't seem like that should matter.
