Is OpenVPN really in "Alpha" stage? (newbie question)

Postby cahamahi » Wed Feb 27, 2013 10:46 pm

When I try to install OpenVPN from the Amahi dashboard it says that Open is in "Alpha" development and not ready for regular users.

http://www.amahi.org/apps/openvpn

This can' be correct.

Should I install the Ubuntu repository version of OpenVPN? (Rather than the Amahi app version.)

Not it is not in ALPHA for Ubuntu. Please notice the Ubuntu icon on the bottom right is GREEN. That indicated its LIVE for that OS. The other 2, Fedora 14 and 18 reflect ALPHA.

Currently Ubuntu is the only OS where OpenVPN is not already integrated by default.

Oh... I get it now. (palm hits forehead).

The red is for Fedora, green for Ubuntu.

Thanks.

You got the basic idea.

Color designated the status, RED for ALPHA, YELLOW for BETA, and GREEN for LIVE. Each icon shows the OS in it.
