External access to Drupal issue

Postby iluciv » Thu Nov 29, 2012 5:07 am

Hi Guys loving Amahi atm and just generally playing around with it.

I'm wanting to set up my drupal site as to be accessed by a domain name I own. I've followed the guide on the wiki for this but I when I use my external domain I get the hda login screen.

So to test I set it up for username.yourhda.com in /etc/httpd/conf.d/####-drupal.conf as well and it works no problem. (goes to drupal page)

So the domain name works but goes to the wrong spot (hda login screen)

As I'm typing this I'm thinking it might have to do with the router dns settings do I need to set my router dns (external dns) to point to the amahi IP? or can I leave it pointing to where it is atm (Opendns)

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

well I changed my router settings to point dns external to the amahi box but it still routes to the hda login page when going through the paid domain url.

I can get to it externally with the <username>.yourhda.com url though np

Anyone got any pointers for this issue? I've checked all my settings and have found posts with other users with this issue but there is no resolution posts in the thread.

I presume you added the domain to the web app file per the wiki. We are trying to make this an easier task in Amahi 7, but unsure what could be the issue. Maybe double check your setup with the wiki guidance to ensure you didn't miss anything.

Hi Thanks for the reply!

I worked it out I'd not put the www infront of the domain in the conf.d serveralias don't know why that works but it works now. (Possible I had a typo also as I re-wrote the whole serveralias line.)

Awesome, glad you got it working. If you would have time to update the wiki, it would be greatly appreciated. That way the next time someone has this issue its easily sorted out :)

Hi maybe I'm missing something here but I signed up to edit the wiki and the web hosting page is locked for editing so I'm unable to add anything.
