compaq d31, amahi, no active connection

Hello,

I installed amahi (ubuntu desktop) now twice in a row on my Compaq D31 M and in the end (the whole installation goes ok) i get the same result:

"No active connection" (when i ask for connection information on the amahi-box)

My Amahi box is behind a (upc) router/firewall which acts as dhcp-server (dhcp for now, in the end i want amahi to do this).

I haven't got a clue what is going wrong..

ps: i did delete the previous install in the amahi control panel. Servers got 1 Gb ram and lots off HD's (and space) All hd's formated. I am going to try a different NIC (perhaps there's something wrong with the on-board NIC but then i don't understand why the install (and updates) went so well....

You might consider running the network troubleshooter. It may identify the issue.
