MINIDLNA Setup

Postby apastor » Mon Jul 23, 2012 6:33 am

Hey Guys

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu and Amahi. All went good (like always).

One of my issues is with MINIDLNA is none of my videos are showing up.

Now all my data is NOT stored in the /var/hda/files/movies folder by default.

All my data is on a 2nd HDD i have mounted at /files/data/media/movies

I tried to run this command "cd /files/data/media/movies && chown -R minidlna:users *" from the wiki, but still not able to see any files or folders.

I know when you do a manual install of MiniDLNA you can delete the file.db file and that will also fix the issue, but I can not find the file.

Any ideas would be great.

thank you

Hello,

Not sure the wiki guidance applies to Ubuntu. Will have to take a look. The minidlna.conf file is located in /etc. You can add other paths to that file I believe and restart minidlna. Then it should scan the other folder.
