Family Connections

I installed family connections but the social networking features didn't work until I used yum to install php-xml & php-devl. I'm running Family Connections 2.9.2 on Fedora. Please let a developer know, unless this has been fixed already.

Thanks for the feedback. We were not aware that the Social Network functionality was not working. The app has been updated with those two dependencies.

I will be working to update the app to the latest version soon.

I'm not sure if I actually needed both packages. I suggest having someone wiser then myself confirm this before repackaging the app.

1st I added php-xml. That didn't help, so I added php-devl. That didn't help so I rebooted. After rebooting, things worked. Perhaps php-xml & reboot would have been enough.

No problem. Based on the guidance you provided, this seems to be a good start. If you find additional information that helps, please let us know.

For now, I have added both dependencies to the app. We will see how that works until we have more direction on what is needed. Checking their install guidance does not provide any indication of dependencies, so guess we are on our own.
