Since my account hasn't been accessible for quite some time now...previous version was fed 12. I decided to delete it (finally) and go with a full reformat and fresh install of fed14 and what do you know....STILL UNABLE TO SIGN IN!
Now...just so you know...I am here, so obviously, I know both my username and password. But, as I said for quite some time now...amahi, will not allow me to sign in!
WHY?
ps: Lets keep this on the v14 fed please. No sense hashing over past, since I'm on 14 now. Thanks.
Error: Incorrect username or password
Re: Error: Incorrect username or password
So is the issue on amahi.org, your HDA, or both? We cannot help without more info.

Re: Error: Incorrect username or password
When I first installed I logged into Fedora fine and then went to the "Amahi HDA Setup" icon and put in the same username and password I used to log into Fedora. I was then met with the "Change Password" I didn't want to change the password from the one I set up in setup so I entered the same password. It looked like it took but I couldn't log in. After several more installs and attempts I made the password longer than 4 letters and it took. I made mine 8 but the next server I built I used 6 characters and I was fine.
Hope this helps. I felt like I had to be long winded because I wasn't sure this was where you were referring to in your original question.

Re: Error: Incorrect username or password
Understand. We just needed more details to understand your issue. Not sure if there is anything that states a minimum password length. We need to ensure that gets publicized somewhere in the install instructions.

Re: Error: Incorrect username or password
I am running into this as well. Fedora 14 and Amahi install went smoothly. When I reboot and enter Fedora, I run the setup script to set up my user accounts. I am taken to the Amahi login page. From there, nothing works. The user name and password I used to log into Fedora is not recognized. The root account password is not recognized. The Amahi account name and password I set up to download Amahi in the first place is not recognized. In short, I'm stuck. Changing the password in Fedora throws an error in the gnome key ring, but otherwise seems to work.
I'm running out of patience here; any thoughts as to what may be happening?

Re: Error: Incorrect username or password
You need to create new user by "useradd" from SSH, and then you able to login with that user in HDA
