Dear jayrock,

thanks a lot for this clarifications an AES calendaring :) I will check it out on my home server the next days.

Jayrock, I would like to ask whether I could contribute some information on MacOSX Wake on LAN (WOL)-Clients and perhaps on my questions concerning the AES calendar implementation on http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_Energy_Saver or should I send the contributions to you directly?

Regards,
amahivirtual

Hi paurey,

how do you want to wake your HDA? Please check that your board actually supports that kind of wakeup. Unfortunately, some boards do not support timer based wake-up and/or WOL.

Referring to WOL check this wiki page: http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Enabling_WOL

Hello

Thanks. To begin with, I want to wake my HDA no matter how, because right now I can't.
My board supports WOL and ACPI 1.0b
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/produc ... id=3549#sp
It even reacts to a WOL package when in S3 state and starts consuming power, however Amahi-Fedora is dead and does not react. Also happens with S1.

Thanks for giving me any clue.

Hello paurey,

does it work with S4?

Did you follow this guide: http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Amahi_E ... utdownType

To me the sounds like a OS/Mainboard compatability issue. I guess you'll have more success with Gigabyte and/or Fedora support forums.

Dear jayrock,
I just installed the LogAnalyzer App http://www.amahi.org/apps/loganalyzer and I would like to observe there the aes.log.* of my HDA. Perhaps you may have some suggestions on how to get aes.log visualized by the LogAnalyzer? I know there is a way on adding log file sources (Admin Center >> Sources) , but I do not have a clue on getting it work.

amahivirtual

Hi jayrock,
Sorry for posting on the wrong side. I followed your suggestion and posted my question regarding LogAnalyzer to the Applications/General board: http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3057 .

No worries. Just want to make sure that other people can find it. If I find the time I will have a look at Log Analyzer.

Hi jayrock,
I git the hint in the applications board. I just added this to the AES wiki page on chapter 7 "Logs and LogAnalyzer". You may have a look at it and correct it if necessary.
Thanks for the suggestions with the right board to post on.

Well with S4 it seems to be working, although it takes a bit too long to wake it up with WOL.
I Haven't tried it intensively yet. But thanks for the hints.
