Free vs. Gratis Apps fom Amahi App Store

Postby ralfb » Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:27 am

Hi,

Please advise. The apps from the app store are freely installable and the app store shows no pricing.

In particular for example Feng Office can be installed at a touch of a button and seems fully functional, whereas obtaining Feng Office from the Feng Office website ( http://www.fengoffice.com/web/moreinfo-onsite.php) requires a monthly license payment for self hosted version.

If I would not have visited the Feng Office website I would have never known of their product pricing.

I'd be grateful for some more detailed elaboration on the Amahi App Store, expected payments, relationships with Free, Free Of Charge or paid apps.

If I download Feng Office, do I need to pay anything to anyone?

Thanks

Ralf
best,
Ralf

Hello,

The apps in the Amahi app store are free. The FengOffice in Amahi is the community edition with is free. The info you read on their web site applies to the commercial version, not the community one.

http://www.fengoffice.com/web/community/downloads.php

So there are no fees for using Amahi and install apps. If you would like to make a donation, that would be greatly appreciated but not required.

Hope that clears things up for you.
