song not showing up in amahitunes

I transfered two mp3 files to the music folder on my hda from my mac. i see the files in the music folder in my hda share from my mac, but they don;t show in amahitunes. any idea what is going on?

Ok i was looking at the amahitune menu and i see that my music share is smb://hda/music and the server location is /var/hda/files/music/. Is there any way to get these 2 to talk to each other. I put files in the smb://hda/music folder and I can see them on my PS3. My movies show up in videos 5 that i loaded from my mac to the movies folder. Is there anything i can check on amahitunes?

ok so i went to the wiki and tried to change permissions to

chmod -R 755parent folder and got this back chmod: cannot access "parentfolder": No such file or directory

I did the chmod 777 on my video file and it worked, but didn't work on the music file. any ideas?
