F12 Amahi 5 install, slight problem but success

Hello Folks,
Had a slight problem with the new hda-install.
I was running F10 Amahi 4. I did a fresh install of F12, only keeping /var/hda/files/ which are on a seperate RAID disk array.
After rebooting I started the hda-install from the desktop, firefox started and connected to localhost:2000.
I entered my install code and hit submit, the progress bar appeared for a few seconds then changed to X ERROR. No other info.
After trying a few times, I deleted the system from Amahi.org control panel and created a new one. I tried the new install code a few times and got the same results.
So then i thought i'd try the old manual install, opened a terminal, su to root then typed hda-install -f <mycode> and this was successful.
The new HDA is up and running and looks good so far,
Thanks for all the hard work.

I did this, too. After running the install from the command line I had to go back to the installer web page and run that install... but is seems to be working now.

This happened to me as well. I typed "hda-install -f <mycode> and this made the web based installer work." I'm up and running!

Hello,
From what I can tell, you tried to run the installer as a user. You need to su - and become root first. Then the correct installer for f12 is amahi-installer with no options.
If will tell you to navigate to
http://localhost:2000 which is where you put your install code. If you have not tried this, please give it a shot.
Hope this helps.

I receive this when installing Amahi on a fresh F12 install.
Tried 3 times no joy. Stalled at 27%
DId a reboot, then it installed correctly.
Maybe this would be helpful.

I was using Amahi 4.x on f10 for few months and now upgraded to f12 and Amahi 5, everything went real smooth, data back in place and I am back in action with Amahi.
I had all my data on 3x250GB disks and main OS on an 80GB disk. All I did was, unmount and export the 3x250GB disks, disconnect the disks. Now, install fresh f12 on another 160GB disk that I had lying around (disconnected and left the 80GB Amahi 4 on f10 disk alone, just in case). Installed Amahi 5 from the installer. Import the 3x250GB disks and mount to their respective folders. Everythign is back in place with Amahi 5 !!!
This is what I followed to unmount/export and import/mount the disks:

Thanks Amahi !!! a great zero cost product...
