In all but one case, the drives were master on each channel.

i'm a little stumped on that one then. have you tried reconfiging the irq's. you are basically trying to change which ones are shared. you can see this when your pc starts up. the symptom sounds the same as what i had on an asus board which i cured by re-jigging the pci irq's.

Hi lou1z,

As I said here:
The only IRQ options are: PCI/PNP or ISA/EISA. They won't change on a per device basis. Even a bios update did nothing.

Get this.... I started from the 5 CD distro, and have gotten to the add repository stage, no problem. That has to confirm the DVD edition has a bug.

Running the Amahi installer now. Browser option not working, so using "old" method as in this thread: http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=893&start=0

BTW, you only need CD 1 and 2 for the HDA install.

The installer isn't having it, by any method. The only repository enabled in software sources is Amahi. Can't enable any others, so I'm giving up.

When Fedora get their act together, I'll try again.

Thanks for trying to help, guys. Appreciate it. 8-)

Do you have a firewall in place that could be blocking these?

Already checked the firewall logs, guys. Nothing listed as blocked. In any case, the repos use standard protocols, and F10 doesn't have any such problems.

Fedora i386, and Fedora updates, won't enable. Can't enable them at install time either. Same error as when I used the DVD and got stuck on the repo part.. Presumably a lot of stuff is missing from the install.
