AMAHI 11 - NO MATCH hda-ctl (Error: Unable to find a match)

Postby calva » Sat Apr 03, 2021 7:34 am

Hello everyone!

Thought someone may be able to assist.

I had been trying to install the Amahi 11 Server following all the instructions but I still have not successfully installed it.

Keep getting the message

"No match for argument: hda-ctl
Error: Unable to find a match"

I checked other threads similar to this and have tried using:

sudo dnf clean all

as well as checking if only one network connection in BIOS. Still not able to succeed. Hope you can assist.

Thanks

What instructions are you following?

Does your machine meet the minimum requirements?

Thanks for the reply.

I used this guide/ instruction in what I was doing.

https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Fedora ... CD_Install

I believe the unit that I am working on meets the specs requirements.

I got stuck at this instruction:

"dnf -y install hda-ctl"

Hope you can provide guidance.

Thanks

Try rebooting before doing that command.

Also, are typing or copy and paste?

I have rebooted several times already. Still to no avail.

I typed at first but used the arrow key to auto type the previous encoded scripts for the succeeding command inputs

Do you think I need to reinstall the fedora 27 OS?

Ok. A reinstall might help.

Did the first command work successfully?

Code: Select all

rpm -Uvh http://f27.amahi.org/noarch/hda-release-11.0.0-1.noarch.rpm

Yes it worked properly.

Got stock with the

Code: Select all

dnf -y install hda-ctl
will try to reinstall fedora OS. Hopefully it will address the concern.

Ok, not sure why that is not working then.

Ensure you follow the instructions precisely when reinstalling for the best chance of success.

Please let us know how it goes.

BTW, you are not using wireless as your network connection I presume.

If so, it will not work. Amahi only works with a wired connection.
