Any Chance for HP Data Vault X310?

Postby joegtech » Mon Jan 06, 2020 12:51 pm

Our non profit received several HP Data Vault X310 storage servers that originally came with Windows Home Server 2011. However we don't have the reinstall DVDs for them and are looking for an alternative OS.

Specs
Intel Atom Dual Core (1.6GHz), 2GB Memory, 4 drive bays

Is there any chance Amahi will install to this headless storage server?

I am quite willing to run an older version of Amahi. This will not be accessed from the internet and may end up just being an iSCSI target--if possible--directly connected to the file server for storing backups.

See the system requirements page.

Based on what you have indicated, Amahi should install fine. Understanding this is a NAS unit, there may be hardware compatibility issues with Linux.

Of course only way to find out is to try it.
