freshh amahi 11 install, no dashboard, Passenger 2 error

Postby marduk » Sat May 18, 2019 12:02 pm

Just did a clean install from the Fedora 27 Server DVD. I have Cockpit Access, but I recives the following message when trying to sign into the dashboard for the first time:

Passenger error #2

An error occurred while trying to access '/var/hda/platform/html/config.ru': Cannot stat '/var/hda/platform/html/config.ru': Permission denied (errno=13)

Apache doesn't have read permissions to that file. Please fix the relevant file permissions.

The permission problems may also be caused by SELinux restrictions. Please read https://www.phusionpassenger.com/librar ... nux-errors to learn how to fix SELinux permission issues.

Followed the troubleshooting link;

https://www.phusionpassenger.com/librar ... nux-errors to learn how to fix SELinux permission issues.

Selected RUBY.
using Cockpit- (su)
/var/log/apache2/error_log does not exist, no apache2 directory present
# passenger-config --detect-apache2 did not work, no luck with any of the passenger-config option they all return me to-
Usage: passenger-config <COMMAND> [OPTIONS...]
Tool for managing, controlling and configuring a Phusion Passenger instance
or installation.

Hello.

Why did you use the DVD? We prefer users try the Minimal CD first.

Most have the best success with that method. Also did you follow the instructions precisely? I presume you checked requirements for your machine and have only a single network card enabled.
