new install, dhcp transition, amadi sync, vpn

I have installed all of the above, followed the instructions for the transition, and I cannot seem to get things to work. This is first time setting up a server. I just want a simple file server. I am using a Dell inspiron 570 for my server. please let me know what information is needed to figure this out. I am sure I have not given enough.
