SOLVED: Motherboard swap

Postby modem7 » Wed Nov 21, 2018 10:17 am

Hey guys,

I'll be upgrading motherboard + CPU in the next few days, and want to make sure I'm aware of any caveats before I do so.

I was looking at https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Post-I ... re_Changes but it seems slightly out of date (e.g. $/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules doesn't exist).

Currently running Amahi 10 Fedora, HDD's (apart from the SSD boot disk) are all on a Dell H310 SAS controller. Motherboard will be changed for one from the same manufacturer (supermicro).

Is there anything I should run prior or post upgrade to make sure everything is good?

Thanks!

I am not aware of anything needed. I have moved drives from one machine to another before with no issues.

Might search the internet for articles to be sure.

The posts I've read basically say run the additional driver utility, but otherwise should be good to go.

Just wanted to be 100% sure.

Thanks!
