SOLVED: System_configuration_amahi not found in /etc/

Postby vrnserv » Tue Oct 02, 2018 4:24 am

Hi ,

I have installed fedora 27 server and installed amahi 11 as described in the how to. The first 2 commands ran ok without any errors(Fetching and installing hda-release 10.5.rpm and installing hda-ctl). On entering the 3rd command hda-install <your-activation-code>, the system throws an error

"Verbose Log File at '/root/hda-install-181002-070815.log'
ERROR - system_configuration_amahi file not found in /etc/"

I just created an empty file called "system_configuration_amahi" in /etc/ and ran the command I got the following

Verbose log file at /root/hda-install-xxxxxx.log
Stopping background software updates
Background software updates stopped
Installing 3 packages
RPM packages installed
Starting MySQL
Initializing MariaDB
Setting up Amahi Dashboard DB user
******************TDB initialize storage Pooling***************
Initialize Ruby on Rails and DB
Activating your HDA's settings
hda-install: ERROR: @system_configuration is empty

Pl help!

Did you follow the install instructions precisely and not deviate?

Should have stopped on the initial failure. Now I recommend you start over.

Best not to manually configure anything with the Amahi 11 install.

Reinstall did the trick. Thanks.
