Hello,
I have attempted an installation twice now, with no success.
During the installation, I was told that my IP was 192.168.1.48.
On completion, when I used
http://hda/, I ended up with an IP of
http://141.8.224.183!
The troubleshooter option asks for a [Yes/No] response with no action for [Continue].
Indeed, quite frustrated.

Did you follow install guidance for #Amahi 9 on Fedora 23? Did you follow the install guidance at
http://docs.amahi.org?
Seems like you did not do something correctly. We have thoroughly tested the install and never encountered this issue.

Hello,
Yes, I followed the guide...but to no avail.
My default IP is 192.168.1.65...will this be a problem.
The initial router IP addressing was defaulted to 64 to 253, but I reset this to 1 to 100.
Why am I getting a 'ping hda' of 141.8.224.183?

Is that what you put in the HDA profile on amahi.org? no need to assign the IP address to the HDA as it will be done automatically when #Amahi is installed.

You may need to cycle your network. That appears to be the IP address assigned to your router by your ISP. Did you turn off DHCP on your router as noted in
Transitioning to your #Amahi Server guidance? If not, please follow those steps.

Hello,
I am performing a new install.
When checking the Installation Summary > Network & Hostname, it shows the IP as 192.168.1.2 even though I have selected .10 on the Control Panel. Will this IP be altered?

It should be changed automatically. Does your router assign IP addresses in that range? Best to restrict routers to using 100-254 for DHCP leases. Anything less than 100 should be reserved for static IP addresses.
That is the policy we use for the HDA. Also I revised my previous post, so please review the changes as it might help.

Hello,
Well, I had my wife watch me perform a new install.
I configured my router to use 100 to 254 for dynamic IP's and reset the Gateway from 1.254 to 1.1.
I can ping 192.168.1.10, but when I ping 'hda', all I receive is the infamous 141.8.224.183 IP address.
There is nothing in the router that would provide this IP!
The nslookup still shows:
Server: 192.168.1.10
Address: 192.168.1.10#53
** server can't find hdca.ahami.net: REFUSED
Could this be a DNS error in the router. The router is a ZYXEL from Telus.
This is the IP address is an getting from
http://hda -

Did you turn off your router DHCP and DNS server? The DNS may be resolving to an IP address on the internet due to the router controlling DNS.
